Ark Start & John Archer parent community group

Ark and South London Citizens have come together to build a strong team of parents to break down barriers to child development in the local area and improve the parent voice within the school and nursery.

In the first term of the project, a growing group of parents from both the nursery and the school came together and identified and took action on some key issues in the local area. As the Spring term came to an end, the citizens parents had some amazing wins.

• A Local Councillor Surgery at the School in the Summer Term

• Priority places for children’s activities at CAIUS house

• Building a relationship with local MP Marsha De Cordova

We are now continuing this amazing work and would love for more parents to join their community make change happen. On Wednesdays we host coffee mornings to bring parents together asking “What action can you take to make change happen”?
