Ark Start Globe

Ark Start Globe is a nurturing and caring nursery for children aged 9 months – 3 years old in the heart of Elephant and Castle and close to Borough and London Bridge. We create a joyful and welcoming environment that encourages children to communicate, learn and explore through play. Ark Start Globe is embedded in the local community with strong links to our host school, Ark Globe Academy. Children enjoy painting and nature walks in our incredible indoor and outdoor resources, and our central location means we are well placed for trips into London as well as to local libraries, galleries and even farms.

Our children quickly become confident and independent, developing friendships that they take into Reception and beyond. Every day, our highly qualified specialist teachers lead ‘time to find out’ sessions. In these sessions the children explore literacy, maths, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design. The sessions are there to enhance the children’s thoughts and language and further support learning through play.

Our nursery serves children from 9 months. Free 2 year old and 3 year old places are available all year round or term time only.

Great nursery!! The children get a lovely well rounded hands on learning experience. The nursery puts on lots of events (parents are invited) and trips to support the learning. The Ark start values are embedded into the children’s daily routine and help to build confidence. The staff are friendly, helpful and supportive, this makes it easy to work in partnership with them.
