Ark Start St Clement: A Good Ofsted Provider

25 September 2025

Our nursery in Holland Park “is highly ambitious for children’s learning”, says Ofsted

Ark Start St Clement, our nursery in Holland Park, has been rated ‘good’ in all areas by Ofsted. The nursery was inspected last month, just a year after opening its doors to children.

The report said: “Children arrive happy and are keen to join in. Staff welcome them with smiles and cuddles, which helps children settle quickly.” It also highlighted that children “feel safe and secure” thanks to being “familiar with the daily routine” and that “staff have high expectations for children’s behaviour”, as “they teach simple rules, such as taking turns and sharing resources”.

The inspector found that “staff quickly identify children’s interests and preferences and use these to plan a stimulating environment.” So much of that learning unfolds outdoors at Ark Start St Clement, which the inspector also noted: “Children learn about the natural environment through real-life experiences. For example, they water and harvest vegetables growing in the garden.”

Ofsted also described Ark Start St Clement as “highly ambitious for children’s learning. Staff plan a broad curriculum that supports children’s learning in all areas of learning.” The inspector said children have “an individualised learning journey that supports them to practise and build on the skills they have already learned”, and as a result, “all children make good progress.”

Ark Start St Clement opened in September 2024 and was inspected on 7 August 2025. Read the full report here.
