Early years apprenticeships

Start your career in early childhood education. Join us as an apprentice, gain hands-on experience and work towards a recognised qualification, with the opportunity to secure a full-time role.

Do you want to become an early childhood educator?

We are always looking for people with a genuine passion for young children to join our team as apprentices and aim to offer every apprentice a full-time role once they qualify.

At Ark Start, you will work towards your Early Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship over the course of 18 months. Successful applicants will need to provide ‘right to work in the UK’ documentation, undertake a DBS and provide at least two satisfactory references before starting.

Please note this is an 18+ position.

Why become an early childhood educator?

Make a difference

Help children develop the skills and behaviours that set the stage for future success, in a nurturing, supportive environment.

Job satisfaction

See children learn and grow, and be part of their progress first hand.

Professional development

Regular meetings with experienced staff, fortnightly sessions on child development, and ongoing coaching.

Collaboration and support

Work closely with colleagues, families and other professionals to support children’s development.

Flexibility

We work hard to offer flexible hours to suit those with other commitments.

Career progression

As a growing organisation and part of a larger charity, there’s real opportunity to progress, whether that’s into nursery management or train as a teacher.

The time, support and investment Ark Start have provided throughout the apprenticeship has been outstanding. After completing it, they’ve continued to help me progress in my career with more training and an onsite mentor.
