We were delighted to host a visit for Education Secretary, Bridget Phillipson, at Ark Start Oval, our nursery offering affordable childcare in East Croydon. The children painted beautiful drawings with the Education Secretary during her visit to our nursery, all inspired by a sunflower bouquet.
Bridget Phillipson also heard from our staff about why they love working in the early years sector and, in particular, at Ark Start. In this sense, the new education secretary announced the Government’s plans to recruit more early years staff through a “re-energised” recruitment campaign.
You can find more information about this visit and her comments on early years staff recruitment, as well as the plans to offer more childcare places by repurposing primary school classrooms, in the full article published by The Independent.
