MP Marsha De Cordova visits Ark Start nursery

16 March 2022
MP Marsha De Cordova took part in our coffee morning at Ark Start John Archer

On Wednesday 16th March, we held a coffee morning with local MP Marsha De Cordova, to discuss our community, concerns around safety and safe places to play for our children. The meeting was a great success and wonderfully chaired by the parents. From this meeting, Marsha De Cordova agreed to connect us with and convene a group meeting of community organisations (to coordinate and plan activities for children), support us to campaign for a temporary playground to be erected while building the new York Gardens one, and to put us in contact with local ward councillors to arrange for them to come to the school for a surgery.

Parent community group in Clapham Junction

Time to Talk is making a difference to our local community in Clapham Junction. Our parents from Ark Start John Archer and Ark John Archer Primary Academy have teamed up with South London Citizens to break down barriers to child development in the area and improve parents’ voice within the school and nursery.

We would love for more parents to join their community and make change happen. Please get in touch if you are interested in being part of our parent community group.
