Meet the team

I love working in early years as I get to watch children grow and flourish every day. It’s inspiring to see the very beginning of their road to independence, and I feel privileged to play even a small part in their educational journey.

I first qualified in childcare in 1992 and worked within one organisation in a variety of roles, eventually becoming an area manager. Over the years, completing all my childcare‑related training has given me the knowledge and confidence I now bring with me to Ark Start.

Outside of work, I treasure spending quality time with my family and friends. I enjoy making memories together and going on new adventures whenever I can.

I love working with young children because I get to support them as they grow, learn, and discover the world. It feels incredibly special to know that I’m helping to shape their confidence, independence, and love of learning right from the very start.

I have a strong background in childcare, with a bachelor’s degree in science and over 18 years of experience working with children. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of child development and a genuine passion for supporting each child’s learning, wellbeing, and growth.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my friends and family. I also enjoy unwinding by going to the gym, cooking delicious meals, and getting out into nature — long walks always help me feel refreshed and calm.

I love working in early years because I get to support children during such an important stage of their development. It’s incredibly rewarding to help them grow in confidence, spark their curiosity, and nurture a real love for learning. 

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Years and Education, and I’ve spent over five years working hands‑on in early years settings. My experience has really shaped the way I support children and families, and I’m passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment for everyone. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I also love going to the theatre and getting lost in a good book. These interests help me stay relaxed and creative, and maintain a positive balance between my professional and personal life. 

I am passionate about working in early years because I have over ten years of experience in the field. I truly enjoy seeing the positive impact I can make on young children’s lives, and it makes me proud to watch them grow and develop.

My background includes a Level 3 qualification in childcare, as well as a Level 2 in paediatrics. I have also successfully completed various training courses at Ark Start, which have given me even more knowledge and skills to support children in the setting.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, whether that’s watching TV together or planning holidays. I also enjoy watching childcare programmes on YouTube, which helps me stay inspired and up to date with new ideas.

I’ve always had a real passion for children’s development, and I love being part of those early moments when children learn, grow and gain confidence. Seeing them flourish is what inspires me every day.

I’m qualified to Level 6 in Early Childhood Studies and also hold a Level 2 certificate in Paediatric Care. I’ve completed a range of additional training too, all of which has helped me strengthen my skills and support children even better in my role.

When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me spending quality time with my family — whether we’re off to the cinema or planning a fun day out together.

I feel privileged to work with babies and young children and to support their earliest stages of learning. I especially value play‑based interactions because they help me build warm relationships with children and nurture their development in a natural, joyful way.

I have worked in education for around ten years and recently moved into a nursery role. I’m excited to continue building my experience at Ark Start, contributing to the high‑quality early education we provide for children and families.

Outside nursery, I enjoy spending time in my local community library and being with friends and family. Cooking for others is one of my favourite ways to relax and stay connected.

I have a strong passion for supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing during their early years. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch children reach their milestones and grow in confidence, and it’s what inspires me every day.

I recently completed my T Level 3 qualification in Early Years and Education, and I am now Level 3 qualified at Ark Start Nursery. I’m committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported and confident.

In my spare time, I’m a big family person and love spending quality time with them — especially my young nieces. It’s lovely to see them grow and to notice all the different stages of their development.

I really enjoy coming into the nursery every day and being greeted by so many happy faces. I love helping the younger children build their confidence and watching their personalities bloom. I also enjoy chatting with different children and learning from their unique ways of understanding the world.

I’m currently studying as a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprentice. My apprenticeship allows me to work day‑to‑day in the nursery, learning from my colleagues while also completing online training and supported coursework.

Outside of work, I’m the eldest of six, so I spend a lot of my spare time with my family — playing games, cooking together, watching films or helping with homework. I also enjoy keeping active and love going to the gym or heading out for walks with my dog.

I’m excited to work as an early years practitioner because helping children grow and learn is something I’m really passionate about, seeing them learn a new skill feels very rewarding and I think every child deserves the chance to a good start into their education life and I think Ark Start is doing that amazingly. They really want every child to have the same opportunities despite their background so I’m very proud to be a part of the team.

I have hands on experience with my own daughter, so I really feel confident in childcare and it’s something that feels very natural to me. In my free time I like to read books and go paddle boarding.

I am excited to work in early years because I understand the importance of primary socialization and would like to be able to support children as they explore new things, build their confidence and watch their personalities develop. It feels really rewarding to know that I have the opportunity to make a positive difference in children’s and parents lives whilst also learning and developing my own skills, as well as building rapport with them and helping them have the best start possible.

In terms of experience, this will be my first time working in an early years setting! However, I bring my own personal experience of caring for my nieces and nephews which has helped me become more confident around children and provided me with the relevant skills

In my free time, I love to read a range of literature and engage in Japanese animation. I also prioritize spending quality time with family and friends.

Molly is Director of Early Years at Ark and runs Ark Start nurseries. She is passionate about providing quality education for young children and has worked in the early years for over 12 years – as a nursery headteacher, nursery manager, reception teacher, and as a primary school senior leader responsible for safeguarding, SEN, Early Years and early reading, including synthetic phonics to name a few.

She loves singing and storytelling and knows how fun and motivating it is for young children to learn more about the world through stories, songs and experiences. Originally from New Zealand, Molly enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible and, in her spare time, she loves cuddling her cats.
